Matt teaches MBA, EMBA, and Executive Education courses at Kellogg focused on the intersection of AI, organizations, and leadership. These courses require no prior technical knowledge and are designed for students who seek to lead AI adoption in organizations, manage teams and processes augmented by AI, consult on how AI is deployed within an organization, or build and invest in AI companies.
The goal is to build understanding for what AI can do, what it cannot yet do, and how to know the difference and moreover build conceptual intuition for how AI works in practice such that leaders can develop a vision for what it may look like within their industry in the near future.
In AI Foundations, students build intuition for organizational implications of AI by learning how machines learn, see, chat, play, and solve long horizon tasks; students learn the conceptual foundations for generative AI and agents and discuss real-world applications and a series of case studies.
In Human and Machine Intelligence, we dive deeper into the strengths and weaknesses of different forms of intelligence by examining judgment, creativity, intuition, emotions, storytelling, and more to build an understanding of what kind of trade-offs emerge when employing humans versus machines and how to design hybrid teams that outperform either humans or machines working alone.
